Busy as a BEE 🐝🐝🐝

Hey Unicorns!😀😀

From now on, I've decided to name my readers Unicorns because it just came into my head this morning. Anyway, I'm delighted to be writing this blog after such a long time. A whole lot has happened since the last time we spoke and I'm just here to pour out my heart and mind to you.

As the title of this blog post implies, I've been quite busy throughout the past couple of weeks. I attended my first ever TEDx event, organised an event called Festival of Love with the Project One Million Souls group, took part in the choir's concert and worked on a project with the creative arm of the Hebron Startup Lab. I've never done this much work in my life and I can tell you for a fact that it was so rewarding and refreshing because at the beginning of this year I pledged to myself to go beyond what I would normally do and I'm so happy I'm making progress. All the work has most definitely been worth it.

Asides from my life, I've been particularly interested in the occurrences all over Nigeria. What struck me the most was the brutal killings of innocent worshippers at the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State. Forty people were killed in cold blood on the 5th of June 2022 and my heart still bleeds till today. My prayer is that their souls rest in perfect peace and may Nigeria never happen to us.

Another trending topic that has been trending for some weeks now has been the outcomes of the primaries of the major political parties in Nigeria. It was quite interesting to watch and more so interesting to see how Nigerians are reacting to these topics. The top contenders for the 2023 presidential elections have been announced which are Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu of the APC and Peter Obi of the Labour Party. A lot of controversies have surrounded these individuals and twitter warriors have been actively pushing their preferred candidates in the faces of all those who are interested to listen. They've even given themselves names from the Jagabandits to the OBIdients. Nigerian politics has been very interesting and even humorous.

The political space is taking a new turn and more people are involving themselves in making informed decisions on who would lead their country. More people are registering for their Permanent Voter's Cards (PVCs), religious groups, social organisations and even artists are employing everyone to be more active in politics and from what I can see there is less and less political apathy.

Despite everything, Nigerians still have a long way to go in this political journey. A lot of vote buying is still going on, and there is a huge gap between the politically aware and unaware in our society. We as a people have so much work to do at the grassroots in educating the masses on their political rights as citizens of this nation.

I can't wait for the 2023 general elections. I simply cannot. I hope everyone who reads this is also excited and I pray for the mighty hand of God to move us forward because Nigerians have suffered too much pain under bad governance.

Unto other things, my promotional exams are coming up in a week's time and I pray to do my very best. I need a lot of strength and zeal to make it a success by God's grace.

That's all from me for now. I hope you are doing good as well. Much love from this side.💗💗💗💗

Thank you for reading and I expect your comments as always. BYEEEEEE😘
